ISLAMABAD: The special cell established in the Pakistani Embassy in Greece, on the instructions of Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, is actively addressing the emergency caused by the tragic boat sinking near a Greek island.
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar is personally monitoring the situation, ensuring swift identification and assistance for the affected Pakistanis.
So far, 47 Pakistanis involved in the incident have been identified and rescued. The embassy is working diligently to facilitate their safe return and reconnect them with their families.
The special cell has also provided a WhatsApp contact number, +30-6943850188, to assist those affected and their loved ones.
In a message of solidarity, the government stated that the nation stands united with the victims and their families during this time of grief.
