Riyadh: The 7th meeting of the Pakistan-Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Bilateral Defence Industrial Forum was held in Riyadh, with Pakistan’s tri-services delegation led by Lt Gen Muhammad Avais Dastgir, Chief of General Staff (CGS), Pakistan Army, and the Saudi Arabian side represented by H.E. Engr Talal Bin Abdullah Al Otaibi, Assistant Defence Minister. The meeting aimed to enhance defence industrial cooperation between the two nations.
During the discussions, Lt Gen Dastgir reiterated Pakistan’s continued support towards the capacity-building efforts of the Royal Saudi Defence Forces. The Saudi Assistant Defence Minister commended Pakistan for its role in the global fight against terrorism and acknowledged its sacrifices in maintaining regional peace and stability.
The forum also deliberated on key challenges to global and regional security, emphasizing the impact of modern technological advancements on defence forces. Both sides reviewed ongoing collaborations and agreed to explore new areas of cooperation, aiming to bolster defence capabilities and foster stronger bilateral ties between the two brotherly nations.
