Islamabad: A Russian delegation, led by Deputy Minister of Energy and Deputy Minister of Economic Development, held high-level talks with a Pakistani delegation spearheaded by Minister of State for Petroleum, Dr. Musadik Malik. The discussions were held at the delegation level, focusing on strengthening bilateral cooperation.
The Pakistani side included Federal Minister for Power, Owais Leghari, and Special Assistant to the Prime Minister, Muhammad Ali, who actively participated in the talks.
During the meeting, a wide range of issues of mutual interest were deliberated upon, with a special emphasis on energy cooperation and economic ties.
Expressing Pakistan’s strong commitment to deepening relations with Russia, Dr. Malik remarked, “We hold our relations with Russia in the highest regard. The partnership in energy is crucial to both nations.”
Owais Leghari, while lauding the visit, stated, “This visit will undoubtedly strengthen the growing Pak-Russia partnership.” Both sides reaffirmed their resolve to advance collaboration in the areas of mutual development and energy.
The talks are seen as a step forward in fostering closer ties between the two nations, particularly in the energy sector, which remains pivotal to their bilateral relationship.
