Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to bolstering cooperation with China for mutual prosperity and global peace during the “China’s National Day Reception” hosted by the Chinese Embassy at Serena Hotel. The event, held to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China, was attended by Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, federal ministers, diplomats, and senior military officers.
Addressing the gathering, President Zardari emphasized that the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) is a key driver for regional connectivity and economic growth, and its high-quality development would bring immense benefits to both nations.
The President extended heartfelt congratulations to the Chinese people, calling October 1st a historic day that marked the birth of a strong and united China under the leadership of the Communist Party. He praised the resilience and contributions of the Chinese people in shaping the nation’s success.
Reflecting on the enduring friendship between Pakistan and China, President Zardari highlighted the transformation of their bond into an All-Weather Strategic Cooperative Partnership. He stressed that both nations have always supported each other, strengthening their ties even in challenging times.
