Islamabad : Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Thursday expressed satisfaction with the growing cooperation between Pakistan and Turkiye, emphasizing the importance of deepening collaboration in trade, investment, and defense sectors. His remarks came during a discussion with Ambassador Irfan Neziroglu, the newly-appointed Turkish envoy to Pakistan, at the PM House.
Welcoming Ambassador Neziroglu, who recently presented his credentials to President Asif Ali Zardari, the prime minister highlighted the historical ties between the two nations as a solid base for expanding mutual interests. He reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to enhancing strategic and economic relations with Turkiye, aiming to create further opportunities for shared growth.
The PM Office noted that Prime Minister Sharif looks forward to working closely with Ambassador Neziroglu to strengthen bilateral ties. The ambassador’s visit is expected to play a pivotal role in advancing the shared vision and partnership between Pakistan and Turkiye.
