Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has underscored the importance of translating the existing goodwill between Pakistan and Bangladesh into meaningful and tangible cooperation. He made these remarks during a farewell call by outgoing Bangladeshi High Commissioner to Pakistan, Ambassador Muhammad Ruhul Alam Siddique, in Islamabad on Wednesday.
The Prime Minister lauded the significant efforts of the High Commissioner in fostering stronger ties between the two countries. He emphasized that Pakistan attaches great importance to its relations with Bangladesh, rooted in a shared history, common faith, and cultural similarities.
Shehbaz Sharif extended his warm wishes to Chief Advisor Dr. Muhammad Yunus and commended the High Commissioner for his dedication to promoting bilateral ties. He also expressed his best wishes for Ambassador Siddique’s future endeavors.
Ambassador Siddique, in return, expressed gratitude for the hospitality and support extended to him during his tenure in Pakistan. He reaffirmed his commitment to strengthening ties between the two nations, even beyond his official responsibilities.
