PM Shehbaz, UAE president discuss strategic Partnership

Rahim Yar Kham : Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s meeting with His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, marked a significant step in advancing Pakistan-UAE relations. Both leaders reaffirmed their commitment to enhancing bilateral ties, focusing on areas of mutual interest, including economic collaboration, climate change, and regional stability. The discussion emphasized the shared vision for a prosperous future driven by cooperation and mutual respect.

Prime Minister Sharif lauded the UAE’s role as a key partner in Pakistan’s development, expressing readiness to expand collaboration in renewable energy, technology, infrastructure, and skill development. His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, in turn, acknowledged Pakistan’s economic stabilization efforts and expressed a strong interest in investing in Pakistan’s mining, agriculture, and minerals sectors, citing renewed opportunities for bilateral growth.

The leaders highlighted the significance of people-to-people connections and pledged to work together for regional peace and shared prosperity. Prime Minister Sharif expressed gratitude for the UAE’s consistent support, particularly in humanitarian aid and development projects. The meeting concluded with a resolve to elevate bilateral relations to a strategic partnership that benefits both nations.

Prime Minister Sharif expressed his delight at the meeting, reiterating Pakistan’s commitment to strengthening ties with the UAE through his X account. The delegation accompanying him included Deputy Prime Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar, Punjab Chief Minister Ms. Maryam Nawaz, Defense Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif, Federal Minister Attaullah Tarar, and SAPM Syed Tariq Fatemi, underscoring the importance Pakistan attaches to this vital partnership.
