MoU Signed Between Beijing Al Force Tech and Daewoo Pakistan

Lahore, January 24: Punjab has taken a significant step towards modernizing agriculture and solid waste management with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Beijing AI Force Tech and Daewoo Pakistan. The agreement, signed in the presence of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz at the Chief Minister’s Office, focuses on introducing advanced AI-based machinery to improve efficiency and sustainability in these sectors.

Speaking at the ceremony, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz emphasized the importance of adopting modern technology to address environmental challenges. She stated that the partnership would bring innovation to public service sectors and play a crucial role in achieving a cleaner and greener Punjab.

The agreement follows a meeting between the Chief Minister and a delegation led by Dr. Han Wei, CEO of Beijing AI Force Tech, during which key developments in e-agriculture and waste management were discussed. Beijing AI Force Tech will establish an assembly and manufacturing plant for e-agriculture machinery in Punjab, producing robotic farming equipment and introducing autonomous electric tractors and AI-powered robots for transportation and harvesting.

An e-mechanized model farm spanning 17 acres will also be developed near Lahore, featuring electric tractors, harvesters, land levelers, and solar-powered greenhouses. The initiative aims to revolutionize farming practices by promoting efficient water usage, increasing productivity, and enhancing environmental sustainability.

In the solid waste management sector, AI-based machinery will be deployed for the efficient collection, transportation, and disposal of waste. This technology is expected to reduce pollution and significantly improve cleanliness standards in the province. The Lahore Waste Management Company will also benefit from the provision of electric tractors and other advanced machinery.

Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz stated that the Punjab government is committed to attracting 15 to 16 foreign investments as part of its vision for economic growth and modernization. She described the partnership with Beijing AI Force Tech as a key milestone in promoting environmental sustainability and adopting advanced technology to serve the public better.

Dr. Han Wei praised the Punjab government’s forward-looking policies and expressed his commitment to introducing cutting-edge AI technology to enhance both agricultural productivity and waste management in the province.

The agreement is one of the outcomes of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz’s recent visit to China, where she invited Beijing AI Force Tech to invest in Punjab’s agriculture and technology sectors. During the visit, she reviewed robotic farming and e-machinery, paving the way for this collaboration.

This development underscores the Punjab government’s dedication to fostering foreign investment and innovation, ensuring rapid progress in modernizing key sectors of the economy and improving the quality of life for its citizens.
