The Japanese Ambassador Akamatsu Suichi Calls on Sardar Ayaz Sadiq at Parliament House
Islamabad: Japanese Ambassador to Pakistan, Akamatsu Suichi, called on National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq. The meeting focused on bilateral relations and matters of mutual interest.
The Speaker highlighted the enduring friendly ties between Pakistan and Japan. “Pakistan values its relationship with Japan and seeks to further strengthen trade and economic cooperation between the two nations,” said Sardar Ayaz Sadiq.
He emphasized Pakistan’s desire to deepen its friendly relations with Japan and enhance parliamentary cooperation. “There is a need for regular exchanges of delegations at the parliamentary level,” he stated, adding that parliamentary friendship groups could play a pivotal role in fostering closer ties between the two countries.
The Speaker invited Japanese businesses and investors to explore the vast investment opportunities available in Pakistan. He also extended an invitation to the Speaker of Japan’s National Diet and other parliamentarians to visit Pakistan.
“Pakistan offers immense opportunities in the agriculture sector.” Ayaz sadiq added. “Hiroshima and Nagasaki were human tragedies that had a negative impact on human lives,” said the Speaker of the National Assembly.
“Japan is a model for the world in terms of economic growth and development,” remarked the Speaker.
Ambassador Akamatsu Suichi acknowledged Pakistan’s economic potential and reiterated Japan’s commitment to strengthening economic ties with Pakistan.
“Japan is eager to promote cooperation with Pakistan across all sectors,” the Ambassador noted. He agreed with the Speaker’s proposal to further solidify trade and economic relations and assured Japan’s continued support for Pakistan’s socio-economic development.
