President Zardari and PM Shehbaz Extended Greetings to China on Lunar New Year
Islamabad : The President and the Prime Minister extended greetings to the Chinese people and leadership on the occasion of the Chinese New Year and Spring Festival, reaffirming Pakistan’s deep-rooted ties with China and expressing their commitment to further strengthening bilateral cooperation.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, in a televised message, highlighted China’s remarkable journey of progress, calling it a beacon of inspiration and confidence for Pakistan. He lauded the wisdom and foresight of China’s leadership, particularly President Xi Jinping, and emphasized the transformation of Pakistan-China ties into a comprehensive strategic partnership. Referring to the Year of the Snake as a symbol of wisdom and vitality, he underscored the importance of resilience and collective strength as both nations continue their journey toward a brighter future.
Similarly, President Asif Ali Zardari, in his message to President Xi Jinping, reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering support for the One China Policy and expressed his eagerness to explore new avenues of cooperation during his upcoming visit to Beijing. He commended China’s economic and technological progress, particularly the advancement of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), and conveyed his best wishes for President Xi and the prosperity of the Chinese people. As China welcomes the Lunar New Year on January 29, both leaders expressed their hopes for continued success and the strengthening of the Pakistan-China “iron-clad friendship.”
