Türkiye Revises Visa Rules for Afghan Nationals

Islamabad: A new Visa policy for Afghan nationals has been announced by the Turkish government which are effective from January 9, 2025. According to new regulations, Afghan nationals that hold only a valid Pakistan E-Visa will no longer eligible for for any category of Türkiye visa, including the HIB visa Türkiye visa. Those who holding a valid Afghan Registration Card are now eligible to apply for any category of Türkiye visa including across all categories, including the Highly Intensive Business (HIB) visa.
Moreover, those who have been refused a Türkiye visa in any category within the past six months will be ineligible to reapply, even if they hold a valid Afghan Registration Card.
The new policy also outlines regulations for Turkish citizens holding valid Afghan passports. While they remain eligible to apply for a Türkiye visa, prior approval from the Turkish Embassy or Consulates is mandatory.
The policy update is expected to streamline the visa application process and ensure adherence to Türkiye’s immigration regulations,
