Morocco Boat Tragedy: 13 Pakistani Bodies Identified from Morocco Boat Tragedy

Moroccan authorities have recovered 13 bodies of Pakistani nationals who lost their lives in a boat accident off the coast of Morocco. According to diplomatic sources, all 13 bodies found so far belong to Pakistani citizens .
To identify the deceased, authorities utilized the services of NADRA, Pakistan’s national database and registration authority. Fingerprints and photographs were sent to NADRA for verification, and lists were compiled after confirmation.
Unfortunately, the 13 recovered bodies were unidentifiable and lacked documentation. Diplomatic sources indicate that the repatriation process for these bodies will commence shortly. Once identified, the list of deceased will be sent to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, after which the repatriation process will begin.
This tragic incident occurred on January 15, resulting in the loss of 44 Pakistani lives. The boat, carrying irregular migrants from Mauritania to Spain, capsized near the Moroccan coast.
