Islamabad: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan concluded his two-day official visit to Pakistan and departed for Turkey on Thursday. Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif bid him a warm farewell at Noor Khan Airbase. Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar, Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar, and other high-ranking officials were also present.
During the farewell ceremony, a pictorial album of the visit was presented to President Erdoğan and First Lady Emine Erdoğan.
President Erdoğan visited Pakistan at the invitation of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. The visit featured high-level engagements, including the seventh meeting of the Pakistan-Turkey High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council, co-chaired by the two leaders. The session concluded with the issuance of a joint communiqué and the signing of 24 key agreements and Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) to enhance bilateral cooperation.
The Turkish President also held separate meetings with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and President Asif Ali Zardari to discuss matters of mutual interest. Additionally, he addressed the Pakistan-Turkey Business and Investment Forum, where leading investors, businesspersons, and representatives from major companies of both countries participated.
