PARIS: Ambassador of Pakistan to France, Mumtaz Zahra Baloch, represented Pakistan at the 61st edition of Salon International de l’Agriculture 2025 in Paris, where ministers of agriculture from various countries gathered. The event served as a platform to highlight advancements in agriculture, livestock, and food security.

On the sidelines, Ambassador Baloch held meetings with French Minister of Agriculture and Food Sovereignty Année Genevard and Director General of the World Organisation for Animal Health (WOAH) Dr. Emmanuelle Soubeyran. Discussions focused on strengthening collaboration in agriculture and animal health, particularly in sustainable farming and disease control.
The ambassador also engaged with French and European experts and entrepreneurs to explore partnerships in seed technologies, agritech innovation, and peri-urban agriculture. She discussed knowledge-sharing initiatives and genetic innovation in livestock breeding to enhance Pakistan’s agricultural resilience.
