Islamabad: Deputy Economic Counselor of the US Embassy, Robert Newsome visited Islamabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry to explore new avenues for boosting economic relations between Pakistan and the United States. During the meeting, both sides engaged in meaningful discussions on: Enhancing bilateral trade and economic cooperation, strengthening business-to-business linkages to promote direct engagement between companies from both nations, Identifying and resolving trade barriers to encourage smoother trade flows.
Nasir Mansoor Qureshi highlighted the immense potential for increasing trade and investment between the two countries, particularly in sectors such as pharmaceuticals, technology, agriculture, renewable energy, and textiles. He also emphasized the importance of regular dialogues between the private sectors of both countries to promote joint ventures, technology transfers, and skill development initiatives.
Abdul Rehman Siddiqui, Senior Vice President, Nasir Mehmood Chaudhry, Vice President Executive Members Amir Rahim Qureshi, Irfan Chaudhry, ICCI President’s special advisor Naeem Siddiqui, former Executive Member Chaudhry Mohammad Ali and Secretary General Ghulam Murtaza also participated in the meeting, paving the way for greater economic cooperation, expand mutual investment and people to people relations between the two countries.
