Turkish Envoy Congratulates Pakistan on Historic Victory Against India
Islamabad: Turkish Ambassador to Pakistan Dr. Irfan Neziroglu called on Federal Minister for Communications Abdul Aleem Khan on Tuesday and congratulated him on Pakistan’s remarkable victory against India. He conveyed warm wishes from the President and people of Turkiye, reaffirming his country’s continued support and solidarity with Pakistan during times of celebration and challenge alike.
In the meeting, Minister Abdul Aleem Khan expressed heartfelt gratitude to Turkiye for its unwavering friendship, highlighting that the deep-rooted ties between the two brotherly nations have always been based on mutual respect and goodwill. He lauded the valor and professionalism of Pakistan’s Armed Forces, particularly the Pakistan Air Force, for their historic role in securing the nation’s success.
Both dignitaries held an in-depth discussion on the upcoming Kazan Forum, in which Pakistan and Turkiye will participate alongside several regional countries. The minister emphasized Pakistan’s commitment to enhancing international cooperation through land connectivity and trade corridors linking Central Asia, Russia, and Europe, in addition to existing links with China, Afghanistan, and Iran.
Ambassador Neziroglu described Pakistan as a promising destination for investment, noting that its active representation in the Kazan Forum reflects its growing regional importance. He expressed hope that the forum would bolster economic prospects across the region and further strengthen Turkiye-Pakistan collaboration in trade, infrastructure, and connectivity.
