Pakistan, Russia Reaffirm Commitment to Strengthen Bilateral and Parliamentary Ties
Moscow: Pakistan and Russia have reaffirmed commitment to deepen bilateral relations and boost parliamentary diplomacy. The reaffirmation was made during a meeting between visiting Chairman Senate Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani and Chairperson of Federation Council of the Russian Federation Valentina Matvienko in Moscow. Both sides stressed need for parliamentary diplomacy, especially in times of rising global tensions. Reaffirming Pakistan’s commitment to peace and dialogue, Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani said Pakistan continues to advocate for diplomatic solutions to disputes, including the issue of Jammu and Kashmir.
