Pakistan, China Vow to Deepen Political Party Linkages
Beijing: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar held a meeting with Minister of the International Department of the Communist Party of China (IDCPC), Liu Jianchao, on Tuesday in Islamabad. The two sides engaged in comprehensive discussions aimed at enhancing political cooperation and party-to-party linkages between Pakistan and the Communist Party of China (CPC), reflecting the long-standing strategic trust and partnership between the two nations.
Senator Dar expressed gratitude for China’s unwavering support to Pakistan’s sovereignty, territorial integrity, and issues of core national interest. He emphasized the importance of fostering stronger political and institutional connectivity, noting that collaboration between political parties plays a vital role in promoting mutual understanding and cooperation under the framework of the Pakistan-China All-Weather Strategic Cooperative Partnership.
Liu Jianchao reaffirmed China’s commitment to strengthening bilateral ties and highlighted the ironclad friendship between the two countries. He reiterated that China considers Pakistan a high priority in its foreign policy and would continue to work closely to advance shared goals and regional stability. The meeting concluded with a mutual resolve to further cement the historical bonds between the two brotherly nations.
