Canadian Diplomatic Delegation Visits Immigration and Passports Headquarters

Islamabad: Canadian diplomatic delegation visited the Directorate General of Immigration and Passports in Islamabad, where they were warmly received by Director General Mustafa Jamal Kazi.
During the visit, the delegation toured the newly established state-of-the-art passport production unit. The guests were given a detailed briefing on the latest technologies being used, including e-passport and Machine Readable Passport (MRP) printers.
DG Passports Mustafa Jamal Kazi highlighted that the enhanced printing capacity has significantly improved the timely delivery of passports across the globe. He further informed the delegation that the newly installed printers are equipped with advanced security features to ensure the integrity and authenticity of travel documents.
The Canadian delegation expressed keen interest in the upgraded security measures and modernized passport issuance system. They also appreciated the efforts of the DG Passports in addressing the backlog and ensuring timely passport delivery to applicants.
The visiting delegation comprised Mr. Joshua Maldenberger and Ms. Roselyne Lemaire Cadieux. The two sides also discussed matters of mutual interest and bilateral cooperation in the field of immigration and travel documentation.
As a gesture of goodwill, DG Mustafa Jamal Kazi presented honorary shields to the members of the Canadian delegation.
