Pakistan-Iran Relations Are Eternal : Mudassir Tipu :
Tehran : The Ambassador of Pakistan to Tehran, Mr. Muhammad Mudassir Tipu, has described Iran as his “second home,” emphasizing that the relationship between Pakistan and Iran is “eternal” and rooted in shared history, culture, and mutual respect.
In a brief statement shared with Iran’s ISNA news agency ahead of an official visit by Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, Ambassador Tipu stated, “Every new meeting brings positive changes in bilateral relations. Iran is my second home. The relations between Pakistan and Iran are eternal.”
The ambassador announced that Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif is undertaking a two-day official visit to the Islamic Republic of Iran, during which he will hold high-level meetings with Iranian officials. The agenda includes discussions on expanding bilateral trade, enhancing regional cooperation, combating terrorism, and reviewing key regional and international developments.
“Both countries have good relations and commitments, and there is a lot of potential,” said Ambassador Tipu. “I hope these relations will increase more and more in the future.”
According to Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Prime Minister Sharif’s visit to Tehran is part of a broader regional tour from May 25 to 30, 2025, which also includes Turkey, the Republic of Azerbaijan, and Tajikistan.
The high-profile diplomatic engagements come nearly two weeks after a ceasefire agreement was reached between Pakistan and India following a brief military confrontation, underlining Islamabad’s continued commitment to regional stability and cooperation.
