PM Shehbaz Sharif Departs for China to Attend SCO Summit in Tianjin
Lahore: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif departed for Tianjin on Saturday to attend the 25th Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Summit and hold high-level talks with Chinese leadership. He is visiting China on the invitation of President Xi Jinping.
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Information Minister Attaullah Tarar, and Adviser Tariq Fatemi are accompanying him.
At the SCO Summit, the Prime Minister will outline Pakistan’s stance on regional peace, connectivity, and development, besides addressing climate change challenges and engaging with world leaders.
After Tianjin, he will travel to Beijing to join the 80th anniversary commemorations of China’s victory in the War of Resistance and hold bilateral meetings with President Xi Jinping and Premier Li Qiang to discuss strengthening ties.
Shehbaz will also chair the Second Business-to-Business (B2B) Investment Conference, meeting top Chinese executives to promote Pakistan’s investor-friendly policies and attract new investment opportunities.
