Pakistan’s IT Exports Hit $354 Million in July as SIFC Opens Global Markets
Islamabad: Pakistan’s IT exports have recorded a remarkable surge, crossing $354 million in July, driven by better global market access facilitated by the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC). The figure marks a significant achievement as it surpassed the 12-month average of $317 million, underlining the sector’s growing strength. Compared to July last year, IT exports posted an impressive 24% year-on-year increase, while also recording a 5% growth over June 2024. Analysts attribute this sharp rise to booming demand in computer services, software consultancy, and a widening customer base in Gulf countries.
The consistent upward trend highlights the IT sector’s potential as one of Pakistan’s fastest-growing export industries. Experts believe that with sustained policy support and market diversification, Pakistan can further expand its digital footprint globally.
