Parliamentary Diplomacy: Bahrain Shura Council Member Calls on National Assembly Speaker to Enhance Cooperation
Islamabad: Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq on Tuesday met with Dr. Adel Abdulrahman Al-Moawda, Member of the Bahrain Shura Council and Vice Chairman of the Legislative and Legal Affairs Committee, at the Parliament House.
During the meeting, both sides discussed Pakistan-Bahrain bilateral relations as well as matters of mutual interest.
Speaker Ayaz Sadiq said that Pakistan and Bahrain enjoy fraternal relations, adding that Islamabad attaches great importance to its friendly ties with Manama. He stressed the need to enhance inter-parliamentary linkages between the two countries, noting that such exchanges can bring the peoples of Pakistan and Bahrain closer together.
Highlighting the investment potential in Pakistan, the Speaker invited Bahraini investors to benefit from opportunities across various sectors. He also underlined the important role of the Pakistan-Bahrain Parliamentary Friendship Group in strengthening parliamentary-level contacts.
Sardar Ayaz Sadiq expressed gratitude to the Government of Bahrain for providing excellent facilities to the Pakistani community living in the Kingdom.
Dr. Adel Abdulrahman Al-Moawda appreciated the Speaker’s remarks regarding Bahrain, saying that Bahrain values its longstanding friendly relations with Pakistan. He acknowledged the positive contribution of the Pakistani community towards Bahrain’s progress and development and reaffirmed Bahrain’s desire to further consolidate its relations with Pakistan.
