Shaza Fatima, Turkish envoy discuss digital transformation, innovation

Islamabad: Ambassador of Turkiye to Pakistan Irfan Naziroglu on Monday called on Federal Minister for IT and Telecommunication, Ms. Shaza Fatima Khawaja, and discussed ways to enhance bilateral cooperation in the field of information technology, digital transformation, and innovation.

During the meeting, both sides focused on advancing joint initiatives under the IT Business Council, collaboration on the development of a Technology Park in Pakistan, and the launch of internship and fellowship exchange programmes aimed at creating opportunities for young professionals.

The minister highlighted that, under the Prime Minister’s vision of a “Digital Nation,” Pakistan is committed to building strong partnerships with Turkiye to accelerate digital transformation, foster innovation, and empower the youth.

Ambassador Naziroglu reaffirmed Turkiye’s readiness to work closely with Pakistan for expanding digital linkages, knowledge sharing, and joint projects, contributing to a future-ready and connected Pakistan.

The Ministry of IT and Telecommunication reiterated its resolve to strengthen international partnerships in ICT, ensuring that Pakistan’s digital sector evolves as a competitive player in the global economy.
