48 Sikh Pilgrims Led by Sardar Gurbachan Singh Arrive in Lahore

Lahore: A group of 48 Sikh pilgrims, led by Sardar Gurbachan Singh, arrived in Lahore today via the Wagah border to participate in the Jor Mela, which commemorates the death of the fifth Guru, Arjun Dev Ji. They were warmly welcomed by Punjab Minister Sardar Ramesh Singh Arora, Chairman of the Pakistan Sikh Gurdwara Prabandhak Committee, and Additional Secretary Shrines Saifullah Khokhar.

Speaking to the media, Sardar Ramesh Singh Arora highlighted that the Evacuee Trust Property Board has made comprehensive arrangements for the visiting Sikh yatrees. These preparations include accommodation, security, medical care, travel, and other essential facilities to ensure a smooth and comfortable visit for the pilgrims.

The minister emphasized the significance of the Jor Mela and expressed his commitment to facilitating religious harmony and promoting cultural exchanges between India and Pakistan. The well-coordinated efforts reflect a strong dedication to supporting the spiritual and cultural needs of the Sikh community.
