Shehbaz Sharif Accorded Guard of Honour at Malaysian PM’s Office
PUTRAJAYA (Malaysia) : Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Monday was accorded a guard of honour upon his arrival at the Perdana Putra Complex ,the Office of the Prime Minister of Malaysia for a formal meeting and delegation-level talks with his Malaysian counterpart, Anwar Ibrahim.
As Prime Minister Shehbaz, currently on a three-day official visit to Malaysia, reached the venue for the official welcome ceremony, he was warmly received by Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim.
The national anthems of Pakistan and Malaysia were played as both leaders stood at the salute dais. Prime Minister Shehbaz inspected the guard of honour presented by the smartly turned-out contingents of the Malaysian Armed Forces.
Following the ceremony, the two leaders introduced their respective delegations before proceeding for one-on-one discussions and delegation-level talks aimed at reviewing bilateral relations and exploring new avenues of cooperation in diverse sectors.
The talks are expected to focus on enhancing collaboration in trade, investment, IT and telecom, the Halal industry, education, energy, infrastructure, digital economy, and people-to-people exchanges. Both sides are also set to witness the signing of agreements and memorandums of understanding covering cooperation in several existing and emerging sectors.

Prime Minister Shehbaz is accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar, and Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Tariq Fatemi.
Upon his arrival at Kuala Lumpur’s Bunga Raya International Airport on Sunday night, the prime minister was received by Malaysian Minister of Communications Fahmi Fadzil, Pakistan’s High Commissioner to Malaysia Syed Ahsan Raza Shah, and senior diplomatic officials.
