Pakistan, Afghanistan Agree to Immediate Ceasefire in Doha Talks Mediated by Qatar and Türkiye
Doha: A round of negotiations between the Islamic Republic of Pakistan and Afghanistan was held in Doha on Saturday, with mediation by the State of Qatar and the Republic of Türkiye.
According to an official statement, both sides agreed to an immediate ceasefire and the establishment of mechanisms aimed at consolidating lasting peace and stability between the two neighboring countries.

The two parties further agreed to convene follow-up meetings in the coming days to ensure the sustainability of the ceasefire and to verify its implementation in a reliable and continuous manner, thereby contributing to long-term security and regional stability.
The Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed hope that this important step would help end border tensions between the two brotherly nations and serve as a firm foundation for sustainable peace in the region.
