Punjab CM Maryam Nawaz Arrives in Brazil for COP30 Conference

Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has arrived in Brazil to participate in the COP30 conference.

Senior provincial ministers, including Maryam Aurangzeb, Education Minister Rana Sikandar, and Local Government Minister Zeeshan Rafiq, are accompanying the Chief Minister on the visit.

At COP30, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif is set to deliver a key address highlighting Punjab’s vision and initiatives for environmental improvement. She will outline the province’s plans on climate resilience, clean and sustainable Punjab, promotion of electric vehicles, afforestation, and the protection and conservation of wildlife.

The COP30 conference will continue until November 21. During her visit, the Punjab Chief Minister is also scheduled to meet with global leaders, heads of international environmental organizations, and experts to discuss collaborative efforts in environmental sustainability.
