Islamabad: The Chief of the Naval Staff, Admiral Naveed Ashraf, visited Bahrain and called on the highest civil and military leadership during his official visit. He held meetings with King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and Crown Prince and Prime Minister Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, where discussions focused on strengthening defence ties and enhancing historic bilateral relations. The Bahraini leadership appreciated Pakistan Navy’s significant contributions to regional maritime security and stability.
Admiral Ashraf also met senior defence officials, including Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, General Shaikh Mohammed bin Isa bin Salman Al Khalifa, and Rear Admiral Ahmed Mohammed Ibrahim Al-Binali. These interactions centered on enhancing military collaboration through joint exercises, training exchanges, and mutual visits. The Naval Chief emphasized the importance of deepening operational coordination to address evolving maritime security challenges.
Additionally, Admiral Ashraf visited RBNF Ship MANAMA and addressed officers at the Royal Command and Staff College, where he discussed the strategic environment in the Indian Ocean Region and the need for a region-centric maritime security approach. The visit has further reinforced defence cooperation between Pakistan and Bahrain, strengthening the brotherly relations between the two nations.
