BEIJING: Pakistan’s Ambassador to China, Khalil Hashmi, briefed Chinese and international entrepreneurs on the lucrative investment opportunities in Pakistan’s National Aerospace Science and Technology Parks and the burgeoning unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) sector. Addressing the 8th Drone World Congress in Shenzhen, he emphasized the vibrant landscape for UAV R&D and investment in Pakistan.
Ambassador Hashmi highlighted Pakistan’s strategic advantages, including a large youthful population and substantial dividends for investors partnering in Islamabad’s UAV initiatives. He detailed the country’s advancements in drone technology and their diverse applications, showcasing Pakistan as a promising destination for tech investments.
Engaging with participants at the congress, he encouraged enterprises to take advantage of the incentives offered within Pakistan’s Special Technology Zones (STZs). This year, Pakistan holds the distinction of being the guest country of honor at the event, which is co-hosted by prestigious institutions like the China Electronic Information Industry Federation and the China Civil Airports Association.
The congress, themed “Low-altitude Economy, The Future,” featured nearly 500 enterprises and over 10,000 industry experts, scholars, and entrepreneurs from more than 110 countries. Activities included parallel forums and exchange meetings, focusing on low-altitude economy sectors such as low-altitude flights, air tourism, and general aviation services, highlighting the economic potential of these innovative domains.
