Barrister Aqeel Malik Engages with Overseas Pakistanis in Kampala Reception
Kampala: Minister of State for Law and Justice Barrister Aqeel Malik held an interaction with the Pakistani community in Kampala, Uganda, during a reception hosted by the High Commissioner of Pakistan. The gathering, which included a dinner, brought together members of the diaspora primarily engaged in car imports, sales, and pharmaceuticals. The community briefed the Minister on emerging business opportunities in Uganda for Pakistani entrepreneurs and highlighted the challenges they face while traveling from smaller airports in Pakistan.
According to a press release issued on Thursday, Barrister Aqeel Malik assured the diaspora that their concerns would be addressed and reaffirmed the government’s resolve to facilitate overseas Pakistanis within the ambit of law. He appreciated the community’s vital role in strengthening bilateral trade and people-to-people linkages, stressing that Pakistan values their contributions to the national economy.
