Bilal Azhar Kayani Meets UAE Minister in Abu Dhabi to Discuss Rail and Infrastructure Projects

Abu Dhabi: Pakistan’s Minister of State for Finance and Railways, Bilal Azhar Kayani, held a meeting with the United Arab Emirates Minister of Energy and Infrastructure, Suhail Mohamed Al Mazrouei, on the sidelines of the Global Rail Infrastructure Conference and Exhibition in Abu Dhabi.
The meeting centered on expanding bilateral cooperation in infrastructure development and railway modernization.
Kayani extended gratitude to Al Mazrouei and the UAE Government for their warm hospitality and for organizing the global forum, which he said serves as a key platform for knowledge exchange and international collaboration. He lauded the UAE’s visionary infrastructure initiatives, particularly the landmark Etihad Rail project, describing it as a model for regional connectivity and sustainable growth.
Both sides explored avenues to strengthen collaboration in modernizing Pakistan’s railway network, with the goal of enhancing trade, improving connectivity, and promoting environmentally responsible transport solutions.
The ministers reaffirmed the close brotherly relations between Pakistan and the UAE and expressed their shared resolve to advance mutual prosperity through deeper cooperation in key sectors.
The meeting concluded on a positive note, with both parties agreeing to maintain close engagement and follow up on the identified areas of partnership.
