Islamabad : The cleaning drive at Trail 5 in Islamabad, led by Ethiopian Ambassador H.E. Dr. Jemal Beker, marked a significant effort to strengthen the Ethio-Pakistan fraternity through environmental action. This initiative, part of Ethiopia’s Green Legacy, saw participation from various sectors of society, emphasizing the importance of joint efforts in addressing global challenges like climate change.
Dr. Beker highlighted Ethiopia’s progress in building a green economy, citing the planting of over 40.5 billion seedlings as a key achievement under the Green Legacy Initiative. He called for continued collaboration and youth involvement in combating climate change, underscoring the potential of mass mobilization to create lasting impact.
The Ambassador also expressed appreciation for Pakistan’s commitment to enhancing bilateral cooperation with Ethiopia across multiple fields, including economy, education, and technology. This collaborative spirit, he noted, is essential for both nations to navigate and address shared global challenges.
