Dar, Araghchi Hold Talks on Sidelines of D-8 Council of Foreign Ministers in Cair
Cairo, Egypt – Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Pakistan, Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, met with Iranian Foreign Minister Seyyed Abbas Araghchi today on the sidelines of the 21st D-8 Council of Foreign Ministers meeting.
During the meeting, the two leaders expressed satisfaction with the positive trajectory of Pakistan-Iran bilateral relations, underscored by increased high-level exchanges in political and economic domains. Both sides agreed to further enhance trade and economic cooperation while fostering stronger people-to-people connections.
The ministers also exchanged views on the evolving situation in the Middle East.
Deputy Prime Minister Dar reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering support for Palestine, reiterating the country’s principled stance on the issue and expressing solidarity with the Palestinian people.
The meeting highlighted the shared commitment of Pakistan and Iran to deepening cooperation on regional and international matters of mutual interest.
