Deputy PM Ishaq Dar Chairs High-Level Meeting on SCO 2026-27 Chairmanship Preparations
Islamabad: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Muhammad Ishaq Dar chaired a high-level committee meeting at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to review preparations for Pakistan’s forthcoming Chairmanship of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) Council of Heads of States (CHS) for the term 2026–27.
The Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign Minister provided strategic guidance for the planning process and underscored the importance of hosting the SCO CHS Summit in a befitting and well-coordinated manner, reflecting Pakistan’s commitment to regional cooperation and multilateral diplomacy.
The meeting was attended by SAPM Tariq Bajwa, Acting Foreign Secretary, Secretaries from the Cabinet Division, Interior, and Information Ministries, Chairman CDA, Inspector General ICT, and other senior officials.
