Dr. Musadik Malik, Ethiopian Envoy Discuss Environmental Collaboration

Islamabad: Federal Minister Dr. Musadik Malik held a bilateral meeting with the Ambassador of Ethiopia, Jamal Baker Abdullah, to discuss enhancing cooperation on green initiatives, afforestation, and environmental sustainability.

During the meeting, both sides explored collaborative tree plantation projects involving knowledge exchange, research, and community engagement. They agreed on the importance of empowering youth as ambassadors of positive environmental change.

Dr. Malik emphasized the promotion of green innovations under youth leadership and highlighted the need for efficient water use and environmentally friendly agricultural practices.

Both Pakistan and Ethiopia agreed to take joint measures for environmental protection and sustainable development. The two sides reaffirmed their commitment to strengthen cooperation for a greener and safer future.

The discussion also included strategies to mitigate the impacts of climate change and scale up climate-resilient actions. Emphasis was laid on the urgent need for timely global climate action.
