Envoys from Five Nations Present Credentials to President Zardari
ISLAMABAD: Ambassadors from Romania, Somalia, Nepal, Japan, and Bangladesh presented their diplomatic credentials to President Asif Ali Zardari during a formal ceremony held at Aiwan-e-Sadr on Tuesday.
The president received credentials from Romania’s Ambassador-designate Dan Stoenescu, Somalia’s Ambassador-designate Sheikh Nur Mohamed Hassan, Nepal’s Ambassador-designate Rita Dhital, Japan’s Ambassador-designate Akamatsu Shuichi, and Bangladesh’s High Commissioner-designate Md. Iqbal Hussain Khan.
Welcoming the envoys, President Zardari congratulated them on their appointments and emphasized the importance of fostering stronger ties in trade, economy, and culture. Earlier, the envoys were accorded a guard of honour by a contingent of the Pakistan Armed Forces upon their arrival at the presidential palace.
