Islamabad : Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Minister for Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, Rashid Meredov, met with Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif at the Prime Minister House in Islamabad.
Prime Minister Sharif warmly recalled his recent meeting with the Grand Leader of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, in Astana and expressed eagerness to welcome him to Pakistan soon. This sentiment reflects the strengthening ties and mutual respect between the two nations.
During the meeting, Prime Minister Sharif expressed his satisfaction with the successful conclusion of the 3rd Round of Pakistan-Turkmenistan Bilateral Political Consultations. He emphasized the importance of regular interactions through established institutional mechanisms, highlighting the potential for enhanced trade, economic, investment, and cultural relations.
The Prime Minister extended an invitation to Turkmen companies, encouraging them to capitalize on Pakistan’s favorable investment environment. He specifically mentioned the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) as a key player in supporting foreign investments across various sectors.
Furthermore, Prime Minister Sharif underscored the significance of regional cooperation and connectivity. He reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to the timely completion of the TAPI Pipeline and other collaborative connectivity projects, aiming to bolster regional integration and economic prosperity.
