General Sahir Shamshad Mirza Awarded King Abdulaziz Medal in Saudi Arabia
Riyadh: The Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, General Sahir Shamshad Mirza, visited Saudi Arabia and held a high-level meeting with Chief of General Staff of the Saudi Armed Forces, General Fayyadh bin Hamed Al-Ruwaili, reaffirming the strong brotherly ties and enduring defence partnership between the two countries.
During the meeting, both sides discussed the evolving global and regional security environment and explored ways to enhance bilateral defence cooperation. The Saudi military leadership lauded the professionalism of the Pakistan Armed Forces and recognized their sacrifices in the fight against terrorism.
In recognition of his significant contributions in strengthening Pakistan-Saudi military relations, General Sahir Shamshad Mirza was conferred with the King Abdulaziz Medal of Honour (Excellent Class).
