A New Chapter in Pakistan-Malaysia Bilateral Relations
On the invitation of Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, the Prime Minister of Malaysia, Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim, has arrived in Pakistan for a three-day official visit.
Islamabad: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif warmly welcomed the Malaysian Prime Minister, Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim, upon his arrival at Noor Khan Airbase.
Upon arrival in Islamabad, a well-prepared contingent of the Pakistan Army presented a guard of honor to the Malaysian Prime Minister.
Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim was also honored with a 21-gun salute.
Children dressed in traditional attire presented flowers to the Malaysian Prime Minister.
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Muhammad Ishaq Dar, Minister of Commerce Jam Kamal Khan, and Minister of Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar also joined the Prime Minister in welcoming the distinguished guest.
During the visit, the Malaysian Prime Minister, Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim, will hold a meeting with Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif.
He will also meet with the President of Pakistan, Asif Ali Zardari.
The visit will witness discussions on enhancing bilateral cooperation and significant progress in partnership between the two countries.
The Malaysian Prime Minister is accompanied by a high-level delegation of business leaders and investors.
The delegation will meet with Pakistani business personalities and investors, which is expected to boost trade and investment between the two countries.
To further cooperation in trade and investment, the Malaysian Prime Minister will also participate in the Pakistan-Malaysia Business Forum.
