Information Minister reiterates Pakistan’s support for Lebanon’s peace and territorial integrity

Istanbul : Minister of Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar called on his Lebanese counterpart Ziad Makary in Istanbul today, reaffirming Pakistan’s commitment to further strengthening the brotherly and cordial ties with Lebanon. During the meeting, he expressed Pakistan’s unwavering support for Lebanon’s peace and territorial integrity. He also thanked the Lebanese leadership for facilitating the swift evacuation of Pakistani citizens stranded in Syria via Beirut, terming it a testament to the strong partnership between the two nations.

The minister lauded Lebanon’s Prime Minister for promptly acting on Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s request and ensuring the safety of stranded Pakistanis. He reiterated Pakistan’s solidarity with Lebanon during these challenging times, emphasizing the enduring spirit of cooperation and mutual respect between the two countries. Tarar assured Lebanon of Pakistan’s continued support in promoting regional peace and addressing shared challenges.

Lebanese Information Minister Ziad Makary expressed gratitude to Pakistan for its humanitarian assistance to the war-affected people of Lebanon. He acknowledged Pakistan’s steadfast support in difficult times and underscored the importance of further deepening bilateral ties. Both leaders voiced their shared resolve to enhance cooperation and strengthen the historic relationship between their nations.
