Islamabad : Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi inaugurated the new “Cascade” service center in Islamabad’s Diplomatic Enclave on Friday, marking a significant advancement in services for the diplomatic community. This facility, the first of its kind in the enclave’s history, is designed to consolidate essential services for diplomats and foreign nationals under one roof.
Minister Naqvi highlighted the convenience and efficiency Cascade will bring to foreign nationals by centralizing services like driving license issuance, police verification, and tenant registration. He noted that this development aligns with the government’s commitment to enhancing service delivery and security for international visitors in Islamabad.
Additional services include vehicle verification, registration for foreign domestic staff, and access to First Information Reports (FIRs), facilitating a secure and organized environment for the diplomatic community. Naqvi emphasized that these resources are tailored to meet the needs of foreign nationals, ensuring a seamless experience during their stay.
The inauguration ceremony underscored the government’s focus on diplomatic relations and security, with over 1,500 security personnel and 20 police vehicles now stationed in the Diplomatic Enclave. This enhanced security presence reinforces Islamabad’s image as a safe and welcoming capital for international visitors.
Naqvi, alongside diplomats, toured the new service center, inspecting the facilities and expressing confidence in its capability to deliver streamlined services. Diplomats expressed their appreciation, recognizing Cascade as a forward step in strengthening Islamabad’s diplomatic infrastructure.
The Cascade center is poised to serve as a model of efficiency, elevating Islamabad’s standing as a secure, service-oriented city for the diplomatic community and enhancing cooperation between law enforcement and international representatives.
