Interior Minister Reaffirms Pakistan’s Support for Iran in Tehran Meeting

Tehran : The Interior Minister of Pakistan, Mohsin Naqvi, met with Iranian President Dr. Masoud Pezeshkian in Tehran, where both leaders reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening bilateral relations between the two brotherly nations.

During the meeting, President Pezeshkian said Iran attaches great importance to its ties with Pakistan and will never forget the support extended by the Pakistani nation during times of war. He expressed satisfaction over the current state of relations and stressed the need to deepen cooperation through diplomatic engagement and constructive dialogue.

The Iranian President warned of attempts by the Zionist regime to sow discord among Muslim countries and called for greater unity and harmony among Islamic nations. “The unity of the Muslim world is inevitable in the face of common challenges,” he emphasized.

President Pezeshkian underlined the vast opportunities for both countries to expand cooperation in various fields, including security, trade, and regional stability.

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, in his remarks, congratulated President Pezeshkian on Iran’s victory and expressed Pakistan’s unwavering support for Iran’s sovereignty and right to self-defence. He highlighted that Pakistan was among the first countries to condemn the war against Iran and that its Parliament had unanimously passed a resolution in support of Iran’s position.

Minister Naqvi’s visit to Tehran is seen as a continuation of efforts to enhance mutual trust and collaboration in the face of regional and global challenges.
