Islamabad: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar will participate in the Extraordinary Session of the OIC Council of Foreign Ministers, which is set to take place on March 7, 2025, in Jeddah. The high-level meeting will bring together foreign ministers and senior officials from OIC member states to discuss the worsening situation in Palestine amid ongoing Israeli aggression and violations of Palestinian rights.
According to the foreign office , Foreign Minister will reaffirm Pakistan’s steadfast support for the Palestinian cause, calling for Israel’s complete withdrawal from all occupied territories, including Jerusalem. He will denounce any attempts to displace Palestinians and emphasize the need for a viable, sovereign Palestinian state based on pre-1967 borders, with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital.
On the sidelines of the meeting, the Deputy Prime Minister is also expected to hold bilateral discussions with counterparts from key OIC member states to further strengthen diplomatic cooperation on regional and international matters.
