Uzbekistan Embassy Organizes ‘Made in Uzbekistan’ Food Expo at Centaurus Mall

ISLAMABAD : The Uzbekistan Embassy organized a three-day “Made in Uzbekistan” Food Expo in collaboration with The Centaurus Mall, bringing top-quality Uzbek food products to the Pakistani market. The expo features 50 leading Uzbek exporting companies showcasing over 50 selected food-related products. The initiative aims to strengthen bilateral trade and introduce Pakistani consumers to Uzbekistan’s diverse food industry.

The event was inaugurated by Uzbekistan’s Ambassador Alisher Tukhtayev, alongside Sardar Yasir Ilyas Khan, CEO of The Centaurus Group, and ambassadors from Malaysia, Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan, Portugal, Sri Lanka, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, and Azerbaijan. Addressing the gathering, Sardar Yasir Ilyas Khan emphasized that such expos create opportunities for foreign investors and businesses to explore partnerships, while also helping local businesses connect with international markets. He reaffirmed The Centaurus Mall’s commitment to hosting similar events to promote global trade and business collaborations.

Uzbekistan’s Ambassador Alisher Tukhtayev praised the initiative, acknowledging The Centaurus Mall’s role in facilitating trade and diplomatic engagement. He highlighted that such events contribute to mutual economic growth and investment opportunities. As part of ongoing efforts to enhance economic cooperation, the Prime Minister of Pakistan and the Government of Uzbekistan have set a target to increase bilateral trade to $2 billion, reflecting their commitment to expanding trade and business ties.
