Muslim World Will No Longer Tolerate Israel’s Aggression: Shehbaz Sharif

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said on Monday that the Arab-Islamic Summit in Doha had sent a strong and united message from the Muslim world that Israel’s aggression could no longer be tolerated.

The prime minister, during a meeting with Iranian President Dr. Masoud Pezeshkian on the sidelines of the Emergency Arab–Islamic Summit, reiterated Pakistan’s strongest condemnation of Israel’s September 9 attack on Qatar.

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Muhammad Ishaq Dar, Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir, Defence Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif, and Information Minister Attaullah Tarar also attended the meeting.

Both leaders expressed solidarity with Qatar and underlined the need for unity among Muslim nations in the face of Israeli aggression. Recalling President Pezeshkian’s recent visit to Pakistan, Prime Minister Shehbaz reaffirmed Islamabad’s commitment to enhancing ties with Tehran across all areas of mutual interest. He also conveyed warm regards for Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatullah Ali Khamenei.

President Pezeshkian welcomed Pakistan’s firm stance on the Palestine issue and expressed his desire to work closely with Prime Minister Shehbaz to further strengthen bilateral cooperation.

The two leaders agreed to remain in close contact amid the fast-changing regional situation.
