New Era of Media Cooperation Begins Between Pakistan and China

Islamabad: Pakistan and China have signed a landmark agreement to enhance cooperation in the field of media, marking another step forward in the deepening of bilateral ties between the two all-weather friends.

The agreement was signed in Islamabad by Managing Director of Pakistan Television (PTV) Ambreen Jan and Vice Minister of China’s National Radio and Television Administration Dong Xin. The pact underscores the mutual resolve of both nations to expand collaboration in audiovisual broadcasting.

Under the terms of the agreement, both sides will share media content and information, pursue joint production projects, and work together to promote cultural understanding through shared narratives. The initiative is aimed at fostering greater people-to-people contact and countering misinformation through authentic and collaborative storytelling.

The cooperation will also include journalist exchange programs, capacity-building workshops, and training courses designed to enhance professional skills and encourage knowledge sharing among media personnel from both countries.

Officials from both sides expressed confidence that the new media partnership will not only reinforce the longstanding diplomatic relationship between Pakistan and China but also contribute to strengthening social and cultural bonds through meaningful and sustained engagement.

This agreement is seen as a timely initiative, especially in the context of regional cooperation and growing strategic alignment between the two countries, particularly under the framework of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
