Pakistan and Its Missions Abroad Observe Youm-e-Istehsal to Condemn India’s Illegal Actions in Kashmir

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan will observe Youm-e-Istehsal tomorrow (August 5) with renewed resolve to support the Kashmiri people’s just struggle for freedom and to protest India’s illegal and unilateral actions of August 5, 2019, when it revoked Articles 370 and 35A of its constitution, stripping Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) of its special status.

To mark the day, special events, rallies, seminars, and public awareness campaigns have been organized across the country, including Azad Jammu and Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan, as well as by Pakistan’s missions abroad. These observances reaffirm the nation’s unwavering solidarity with the oppressed people of Kashmir and highlight the grave human rights violations being perpetrated in the region by Indian occupation forces.

In the federal capital, the Capital Development Authority (CDA), under the directions of Chairman CDA and Chief Commissioner Islamabad Muhammad Ali Randhawa, launched an extensive branding campaign. Banners, digital screens, and flyers have been installed at key locations such as Constitution Avenue, Blue Area, Jinnah Avenue, Srinagar Highway, and Zero Point. These carry powerful messages of resistance and remembrance, both in English and Urdu, echoing Pakistan’s moral, political, and diplomatic support for Kashmiris’ right to self-determination.

A central rally will be taken out from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and culminate at D-Chowk, with participation from diplomats, civil society members, and citizens. One-minute silence will be observed at 10:00 AM nationwide to pay tribute to Kashmiri martyrs and victims of Indian oppression.

Pakistan’s diplomatic missions across the globe are also holding special events, exhibitions, and discussions to draw international attention to the illegal occupation and ongoing atrocities in IIOJK. These coordinated efforts aim to keep the Kashmir issue alive on the global agenda and demand justice and freedom for the Kashmiri people.

Youm-e-Istehsal serves not only as a symbol of protest but as a national call for justice, peace, and the end of decades-long suffering of Kashmiris under Indian occupation.
