Islamabad: Azerbaijan’s Ambassador to Pakistan, Khazar Farhadov, held an important meeting with Federal Minister for IT and Telecommunication, Shaza Fatima Khawaja, to discuss avenues for enhancing digital collaboration between the two countries.
Minister Shaza Fatima highlighted that bilateral cooperation has strengthened following the recent visit of Pakistan’s Prime Minister to Azerbaijan. She emphasized mutual agreement on advancing technology and digital public services between Pakistan and Azerbaijan.
During the meeting, detailed discussions were held on facilitating citizen services through Asaan Khidmat Markaz (Easy Service Centers). Minister Shaza Fatima reiterated that the Prime Minister’s vision prioritizes the efficient and accessible delivery of public services.
She further stated that the One-Stop-Shop model introduced by the Ministry of IT aims to simplify business and government services. The Smart Islamabad project was also discussed as a significant initiative to improve public service delivery.
Minister Shaza Fatima underscored the pivotal role of the Citizen Services Portal in providing modern digital facilities. Both sides agreed to collaborate in promoting digital governance and advancing shared goals in the IT sector.
Pakistan reaffirmed its commitment to realizing the Digital Pakistan vision through continued partnership with Azerbaijan.
