Islamabad: Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi held a significant meeting with a high-level Chinese delegation led by Minister for Political and Legal Affairs, Chen Mingguo, on Saturday. The delegation was warmly received by the Minister at the Ministry of Interior.
Both sides agreed to bolster cooperation in crucial areas such as counter-terrorism, cross-border cooperation, anti-smuggling, and anti-narcotics efforts. The meeting underscored the importance of strengthening security measures between the two countries.
Discussions also focused on Pakistan-China relations, especially with the Xinjiang region, addressing matters of mutual interest. Both sides expressed their commitment to deepening bilateral ties in security and law enforcement.
A key outcome of the meeting was the agreement to conduct joint exercises between police and paramilitary forces in Gilgit-Baltistan or Xinjiang. Additionally, plans were set in motion to train Gilgit-Baltistan police officers at the Xinjiang Police
